Yoga is a paramount boon of our ancient tradition. It epitomizes unity of mind and body, thought and action, self restraint and fulfillment, harmony between man and nature, a holistic approach to health and well being.
International Yoga Day was celebrated by the Lipseans with great zest and enthusiasm on 21st June. The programme was welcomed by the lips Vice Principal Sreeja Pradeep who told yoga provides tools for practicing compassion, mindfulness and work towards students’ goals. Students of grade 3rd to 10th demonstated various asanas under the guidance of the Mr Asif, Lips PET trainer. Significance of yoga was unfold by the Lips principal Mrs Raseena Lathif simultaneously. She encouraged the students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration. She reckoned many benefits of early rising and practicing yoga. She added yoga is the scientific way of living healthy and increasing life expectancy. It keeps the physician away and helps various parts of the body perform their functions smoothly in proper coordination.
Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve better life physically, mentally, and spiritually as well.
