It was red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15th 1947.It took hundreds of years for us to break the shackles of slavery. People of the country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show. But in this pandemic situation the whole country is unable to celebrate the day in a grand manner .Hence Little India Public School celebrated in virtual reality.The Principal Mrs. Raseena Latheef was the chief guest of the program. She hoisted the national flag. After the pledge, school leader Adila Yasmin welcomed the principal for presidential address. She remembered the great martyrs who gave their lives for our freedom.Then Chairman Mr.Kappan Jabbar, Operational Manager Mrs. Mazna Aman, Vice Principal Mrs.sreeja Pradeep and the teachers Mrs.Sajna and Mrs. Sheeja spoke about significance of the historic day. They adviced the students to become ideal citizens of the country. As a part of this day,several programes were conducted. Various competitions were held for Lkg to Xth std students. Activities like badge,flag and flower making, declamation, elocution, live Dhandi march and Quiz were organised. The live quiz was the centre of attention. It had two stages for both parents and children. Lively the Quiz master declared the winners .First prize won by Shadha Mariyam of 5th.B, got second prize to Sheza Abbas of 4th.B and third prize won by Amal.P of 7th. Vote of thanks was delivered by Sirajudheen and the programmes concluded with the national anthem.
